Back - The Boats - Building the Boats

Our boats Lady Selena and Lady Margaret were new for the 2007 season. We already owned Lady Selena but decided the way the boat was fitted did not suit our hotel boat business, so we gutted Lady Selena and started again from scratch. We commisioned a brand new boat to go with Lady Selena and to took delivery of the shell in the latter part of 2006. Over the Winter we fitted the new boat out to match Lady Selena and promptly named her Lady Margaret.

Lady Margaret was built by Tayberg Steel Boats, she was built to match Lady Selena. Lady Selena has a Cruiser stern which is excellent for guests who like to have a go at steering as there is plenty of room for more than one person. Lady margaret was built with a traditional stern, this allowed more cabin space for the crew.

Both Lady Selena and Lady Margaret have been fitted to an extremely high standard. The combination of light green washed tongue and groove walls and beautiful ash wood work trimmed with Oak gives a sense of space. The modern fixtures and fittings bring these traditional hotel boats out of the 19th Century and into the 20th Century. Both boats have central heating, power showers and 240volt electricity supplies.
